otice of each NYC Alumni Seminar or Event is emailed to the NYC list managed by the Alumni Association. To join this list, go to
alumni.stjohnscollege.edu
and click on "Register" in the top right corner. Once you have registered, click on "Alumni Chapters," scroll down and click on "New York City Chapter." The chapter page has a “Join the Group” button which will include you in mailings. Then you will be assured of knowing what readings are coming up, any changes to locations, and other events that the chapter has planned. See you soon!
Wednesday, September 15: Recent Graduates Reception
Gather for a pleasant evening meeting other alumni in the New York area. Wine and other refreshments will be served.
Tuesday, October 12: Antigone
Steven Sedlis (A73) will lead this seminar on Sophocles’ tragedy.
Tuesday, November 9: Chronicle of a Death Foretold
Peter Weiss (A46) will lead a seminar on
the novella by Gabriel García Márquez, published in 1981.
December: Holiday Party!

Wednesday, January 12, 2011: Antony and Cleopatra
Annapolis tutor John Verdi will lead the January seminar on Shakespeare's Antony and Cleopatra. The location has not yet been determined.
Tuesday, February 8, 2011: Paradise Lost, Book I
William Moeck (A80) will lead this seminar on Book 1 of Milton's Paradise Lost. The location has not been decided.
